Nemonic is a full-stack engineering studio based in London.
We help innovative startups and forward-thinking organisations rapidly concept, build, and deploy their ideas into the real world.
Our work includes a real-time streaming platform for commercial photographers, a 3D and AI-powered design tool for the next generation of tattoos, and backend platform for a science-fiction world-building universe.
VWFNDR
VWFNDR is a camera innovation studio that explore the future of photography through real hardware and software prototypes. The first product is Keirin, which explores new ideas in physical product and interaction design.
In order to create the Keirin prototype, we designed custom hardware and built the software stack to drive the user interface and camera system. The camera is a custom-built 3D-printed camera body wide aspect ratio touchscreen. The software stack is built on top of the Raspberry Pi OS and includes a custom camera app. The user interface is a custom-built touch screen interface that allows the user to control the camera.
The camera was showcased in Tokyo to photographers, designers and technologists and received positive feedback from the community and written about online.

Shoot Hub
A real-time collaboration tool for commercial photography.
We partnered with the founding team to envision, design, and create their cloud-based video streaming and SaaS collaboration product.
The Shoot Hub platform integrates live video feeds from various cameras, along with a real-time gallery of photographs, into a unified interface. This interface enables seamless remote collaboration among photographers, art directors, and clients.
In its first year, the product was utilized in hundreds of high-end commercial shoots for prominent brands such as Adidas, Gucci, Google, Nike, and more.

CipherX
CipherX is a cutting-edge deep-tech startup originating from Imperial College London and the Royal College of Art. Stemming from groundbreaking research in nanomaterials and a drive to revolutionize an industry stagnant in technical innovation for decades, CipherX's founder developed an inventive method to apply permanent tattoos to the skin in a secure and pain-free manner using a micro-needle-based tattoo patch.
We collaborated with CipherX to design an interface that visually represents this micro-needle arrangement through a user-friendly command line app, allowing potential customers to craft their tattoos.
Along with that, we developed a versatile utility tool to bolster the founders' continuous R&D efforts, enabling them to swiftly experiment with various specifications for the micro-needle design and layout.
Though the technology is still some distance from being primed for commercialization, our partnership with CipherX is guiding their market entry strategy by shaping their initial market presence and forging a consumer brand. Simultaneously, our contributions are expediting their research process with the support of innovative software and digital tools.

Deep tech is the seed that starts innovative change. Deep tech tries to solve big hairy problems in novel ways. This could be by helping farmers increase their crop yield using novel algae-based fertilisers or administering drugs in a safe and pain-free way through microneedles on a skin patch. Quantum computing, robotics, artificial intelligence, and pharmaceuticals are also often categorised as deep tech.

That's what it means to embrace a prototyping mindset; rapidly creating, failing, and learning just as quickly so you can make the improvements that'll eventually lead to a stronger final result.
